It’s been such a busy year for Community Bees CIC.
Our mission here at Community Bees is to make a difference to some of the most vulnerable people in our city. We also work to reduce the stigma surrounding hoarding disorder and as the only organisation of it’s kind in York, we get many requests to speak about the challenges hoarding poses in our communities.
In November, we noticed a substantial increase in hoarding-related fires in York. It’s hugely worrying to us, as we try to help with the increasing number of referrals we are receiving every day, with limited funding. We knew this was something that people in our city needed to know about and we contacted the local media.
We were visited by Sally from ITV Calendar who made a piece for their evening news and wrote an article about us for their website. Read the ITV article about how we’re helping one of our clients who had a fire here.
