Events

It's Community Bees CIC's aim to bring isolated and lonely people together for stimulating activities and friendly chat, whilst sharing our knowledge on hoarding to highlight issues and gain support.

Stepping out

Every Monday – Locations and times vary depending on activity. See table below for full calendar of events.

Come and join Community Bees on our Stepping Out days out. Stepping out of your front door (‘go on give it a go!’) and enjoying the day with company and friendship.

Get picked up and chat, have a cuppa, take in the fresh air and have a change of scenery. You can attend one or all if you like, it’s like Pick & Mix, whatever suits you.
One of our regulars said: “Stepping Out is a big part of my life giving me hope and determination to keep going. I really enjoy the company of others on a day out.”

Places are limited on Stepping Out days, so in the first instance, contact Michaela michaela.communitybees@gmail.com or call her on 07772 107 763 to secure your place.  We look forward to stepping out with you!

Community Voice

Independent Sellers Market

Community Bees runs occasional Market Cafes at St Crux in York providing affordable food and drink in a friendly, safe space for people who might otherwise feel lonely or socially isolated to come and relax in. There is always someone to talk to who goes out of their way to make everyone feel included and welcome.

Any money raised by the market is used to provide activities that reduce isolation and loneliness, for Small Acts of Kindness and also to support the most disadvantaged people within the community.
